Eric Bokkes
Eric
Bokkes graduated in Law and Economics in 1996 and in International Law
in 1997, both at the University of Utrecht, and completed a vocational
training for company lawyers at the Catholic University of Nijmegen in
1999. He was a company lawyer at two different large companies from
1998 until 2004 and founded a trading company in theatre supplies in
2001 and was its managing director up to 2004. He was president of the
Young Barristers Curacao and is treasurer of the Curacao Bar
Associationand vice president of the Curaçao Society for the Protection
of Animals
He was admitted to the bar on the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba in
2004. As far as languages are concerned, Bokkes is well versed in
Dutch, English, German and Papiamento.

Suardus Fontein
Suardus Fontein graduated from the University of
Amsterdam. As a reserve captain he was assigned to a military court and
has gained ample experience in several legal functions while working at
international trading companies. Amongst others, he fulfilled several
top-management functions at international corporations quoted on the
Amsterdam stock exchange.
He is chairman of the Royal Association of Netherlands Reserve Officers
at Curacao. Fontein was admitted to the bar on the Netherlands Antilles
and Aruba in June 2002. He speaks Dutch, English, German and French.

Marcelle Peelen
Marcelle Peelen completed her study HEAO
Commercial Economics at Zeelandia Opleidingen Groep (ZOG) in Curacao in
2001, which study is associated with Fontys Hogeschool Tilburg, and in
2009 she completed her law studies at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Since 2009, she practiced law in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. As
a lawyer she submits herself to the general law. Languages: English,
Dutch and Papiamento.

Alicia
Blonk
Alicia Blonk got her masters degree in Dutch
Law, specialization criminal law in 2011 at the Erasmus University of
Rotterdam. Before she graduated, she worked for two years for the
public defenders office in Holland and one year as a legal counsel in
Holland and Curacao. Since 2012 she is working for Bokkes Fontein
Advocaten in Curacao. As a lawyer she submits herself to the general
law. Languages: Dutch, English, Papiamento and Spanish.

Bauke
Falkena
Bauke Falkena obtained a law degree in civil law
and business law in 1997 and in notarial law in 1998 from the Groningen
University. As of 1998 he worked as lawyer at e.g. Clifford Chance LLP.
In 2003, Falkena worked in London at Clifford Chance LLP and Credit
Suisse First Boston. From 2004 to 2007, Falkena worked as lawyer at
Spigthoff in Curacao. As of 2007, Falkena was lawyer in the Banking
& Finance department of Norton Rose LLP, Amsterdam and as per
December 2008, as partner/shareholder at CMS Derks Star Busmann.
Falkena worked as a lawyer till 2011 and per 1 January 2011 Falkena is
partner of Bokkes Fontein Advocaten and works from the Amsterdam office
as legal counsel.
Bauke Falkena's expertise is corporate, banking
and finance. Falkena regularly writes articles and chapters in books on
Netherlands financial services law and Curacao company and financial
law. Furthermore, Falkena lectures in financial law at various entities
and speaks at courses and seminars at banks, financial institutions,
law firms and other companies.

Quincy Girigorie
Quincy Girigorie obtained his Master Degree in Antillean Law in 2007 at
the University of the Netherlands Antilles. After his graduation he
labored for two years in the International Financial Services Sector in
Curaçao, upon which he chose to practice law. He was admitted to the
Bar on the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba in 2009. He runs a general
Law practice and fluently speaks Dutch, English, Spanish and
Papiamentu. Quincy is very involved in social activities in Curaçao and
is a part time lecturer at the faculty of Social and Economic Studies
at the UNA since 2009.

Jacques
Gankema
Jacques
Gankema obtained a law degree in fiscal law from the Groningen
University. As of 1998 he worked as a tax lawyer at BDO Accountants
& Advisors. From 2002 to 2006 Gankema worked as a tax lawyer at
the Court of Appeal in Arnhem. From 2007 to 2011 he worked at the
Directorate of Fiscal Affairs in the Netherlands Antilles as a senior
tax policy officer and deputy director. Gankema lectures in fiscal law.
In 2010 he published a book about the general ordinance on
taxes "De Algemene landsverordening Landsbelastingen in de
Nederlandse Antillen". Since 2012 he is associated with Bokkes Fontein
Advocaten. Since 2012 he is admitted to the bar in Curacao. As a lawyer
he submits himself to fiscal law. Languages: Dutch, English, German.
